Activities and Other Services

Residents at Kate Sheppard are offered a variety of services and activities within the village including a library, hairdressing salon, mini golf putting course, indoor bowls, outdoor giant chessboard, snooker/billiards table and lounges. Professional services available on site on a 'user pays basis' include a podiatrist and beautician.

Outings in our own air conditioned mini buses to shopping malls, vineyards and a host of other venues are a regular feature of life at Kate Sheppard.

Community Centre

The Community Centre is where the main administration office, meeting room and library are located. This centre is used for many activities, including exercise classes, indoor bowls held weekly, housie and other special talks by various speakers arranged by the Village Diversional Therapist, who sets a calendar of events for village residents to take part in, if they choose to.

Garden Café

The village Garden Café is where you and your family (if you wish) can enjoy a Sunday or a Wednesday wholesome inexpensive lunch. Daily frozen meals are also available for those who may require them. A snooker / billiards table is also in the café complex. Mid week, residents get together for a social evening, and many entertainment parties through the year are enjoyed by all at the Café.
